Chapter One surrounds the events of a Hindu boy deeply affected by the religious influences in his life. He discovers, and eventually fears, that he will burn in hell if he doesn’t accept Jesus into his heart. While his faith in religion is great, he witnesses a hideous act of terror – one committed in the name of “religion” by followers that act like Satan in the name of God. This opens the door to him questioning if God really exists, and if He does, then why is there so much evil?
This simple quest for God takes a shocking turn with the declaration, “Something is wrong here. Does God exist transformed? Something is wrong here and I must change it – but I am helpless and life is such a struggle.” Such questioning and doubt can occur in anyone’s life: Life’s traumas often spur us to question our choices and we are rarely prepared to confront evil when it presents itself.
In one simple moment, we can pass judgment, making decisions that effect our entire life from thereon or change an important course of action based on the influence of only one person.
If you have had this experience of “I am helpless and life is such a struggle,” where you feel you are not loved and do not belong, then seize those negative moments and let them go – they could be dictating your entire life at its very core.
“I am helpless and life is such a struggle,” is borne of Satan prevent one from realizing the true love of God. We will see in the coming chapters if Satan will win or God is able to enter Raja’s heart once again.
